WIC – Avalon

Phone and virtual appointments only. No in-person services. WIC provides a benefits card for free groceries and helps parents learn how to raise healthy kids. We also provide nutrition classes and counseling, connections to other community resources, and breastfeeding support at no cost. Free food benefits are loaded each month on an electronic debit card that can be used to shop at grocery stores that accept WIC. To qualify for WIC benefits, you must be pregnant or have been pregnant in the last 6 months, or be a caretaker of a child under 5 years old. Foster parents, dads, and caretakers are welcome to sign up for their children under age 5.
